EMV MasterMoney™ Debit Cards

With Magnolia State Bank’s EMV MasterMoney™ Card, paying for the things you want and need just got a whole lot easier. The EMV MasterMoney™ Card, which bears the MasterCard® symbol, is a “debit” card - a card you use like a check for your purchases.

With your EMV MasterMoney™ Card, the funds are automatically deducted from your checking account, eliminating the need to use cash, to charge, or to write checks! And since MasterCard® is accepted at more than 12 million locations worldwide, your card can be used to shop, eat, travel, buy a concert ticket, go to the dentist... whatever!

MasterMoney™ shopping is safer than cash and simpler than checks! It has all the benefits of using a credit card without a credit card statement at the end of the month. Your EMV MasterMoney™ debit card is also usable at an ATM to withdraw cash when you need it. So, if you don’t already have an EMV MasterMoney™ Card, drop by your closest Magnolia State Bank branch today.

This new card available from Magnolia State Bank provides you with an enhanced level of security. Every time you use your card at a chip-enabled terminal, the embedded chip generates a one-time use code which is virtually impossible to duplicate and helps in reducing card not present fraud, the most prevalent type of fraud in the United States. When using your card at a merchant that has a chip-enabled terminal, simply insert your card into the terminal with the chip facing up when prompted to pay and leave it in place until the transaction is complete and the terminal prompts you to remove your card. You may be asked to input your pin during the transaction or to sign your receipt afterwards, this will depend on the merchant. If the merchant does not yet accept chip-enabled cards, simply swipe your card as you normally would and complete your transaction. You have all the same benefits and security of our previous cards with an additional layer of security to give you more peace of mind when it comes to your everyday purchases at a chip-enabled terminal. For your convenience, you will find below a three-step guide to how to use your new EMV chip card.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a cross border charge for any debit transactions performed in another country. Please see your Customer Success Banker or review your statement for more details.
